You will be picked up by your guide and start your excursion to visit some of Iceland ́s main attractions today. We will start with the Golden Circle. You will see the Strokkur geysir erupt with water going as high as 30 m in the air, every 8 minutes, craters and bubbling hot mud pools. Iceland ́s most famous waterfall Gullfoss (the Golden Waterfall) is a short 5 minute drive from the Geysir hot spring area. Continue to Thingvellir National park, a UNESCO world heritage site. Thingvellir is historically famous for the establishment of the parliament in 930 AD. Thingvellir is no less famous for its geological wonders. Iceland lies on the Atlantic ridge and at Thingvellir you can clearly see where the tectonic plates of Europe and North America meet and pull Iceland apart. End the day in Reykjavik. Your evening is yours at leisure. Overnight at Hotel Odinsve Including Breakfast
Day Four: Blue Lagoon and Reykjavik
Today visit the Blue lagoon and spend time exploring Reykjavik. Your private transfer will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the Blue Lagoon. The Blue Lagoon geothermal spa is one of the most visited attractions in Iceland. The steamy waters are a part of a lava formation. The warm waters are rich in minerals like silica and sulphur and bathing in the Lagoon is reputed to help some people suffering from skin diseases such as psoriasis. The water temperature is from 37-40°C. The Lagoon is fed by the water output of a nearby geothermal power plant. Superheated water is vented from the ground near a lava flow and used to run turbines that generate electricity. Then the water is fed into the lagoon for recreational and medicinal users to bathe in. After your time at the Blue Lagoon, head back to Reykjavik and the quaint city of Reykjavik at your leisure. We recommend exploring the centre of the city on foot, going up to the viewing deck of the Hallgrímskirkja Church, and perhaps enjoy an optional whale watching tour.
