Blogger review: Julia Mateian (The 26th Look) visits Riad de Tarabel

Blogger visit to Marrakech's best boutique hotel

Julia Mateian is the creator of the stylish blog The 26th Look. On a recent trip to Marrakech she dined on rooftops, shopped the souks and stayed in the magnificent Riad de Tarabel. We caught up with her to hear the tales.

Describe Marrakech in 3 words:

Authentic, Colourful and Unforgettable.

Tell us your top discovery in the city:

The food! I’ve never had such delicious meals in a trip – the flavours and the spices are truly unique.

What was your favourite place in Riad de Tarabel?

Hard to pick one! I absolutely loved our bedroom with the fireplace and the bathtub, the rooftop terrace with views of the medina and the living room near the pool where we had breakfast in the morning.

What souvenir did you bring home?

Marrakech is a décor dream! I bought a few frames, a berber carpet and last but not least, a vintage tea pot to enjoy mint tea at home.

Most memorable view of the trip?

We had dinner at Nomad the first night and we had a beautiful table on the rooftop. The sunset over the medina was one to remember.

Where are you headed next?

I’m currently on my way to London for Fashion Week.
